Support the Supper Collective
Supper Collective needs your help to support activists and marginalized communities in New York City and beyond. We provide high-quality food, hydration, and PPE to those fighting for change as well as to those who may not otherwise have access to these staples of nutrition and safety.
Our organization operates alongside direct actions as well as with mutual aid groups and shelters in our community. With years of restaurant and food-service experience and well-cultivated relationships within the industry, Supper Collective is able to provide excellent meals in a cost-effective manner. We source primarily from black-owned restaurants and BIPOC chefs, which means your donation impacts not only those we serve but also those who serve.
Supper Collective grew out of the New York City Hall Occupation in late June 2020, which aimed to drastically reduce the NYPD budget and divert funds towards underserved communities. Formed by the food and supply teams, we have gone on to serve thousands of meals and provide essential supplies at actions such as:
- Confronting July 4th
- Fund Excluded Workers
- Trans Liberation March
- 24hr March for Abolition
- March for Breonna Taylor
In addition to providing meals for mutual aid groups, the unhoused, and those in need throughout New York City.
Protest is an expression of dissent against a norm one is powerless to avoid. Food inequity and scarcity are manufactured crises that have become the norm in this country, and in addressing those issues directly, food is Supper Collective’s form of protest.
Thank you for supporting our protest.
