Plant-Based Chef Secures a Location to Heal the Community out of.
Ward of Health is a plant-based food service company that offers the community healthy food options. Our long-term goal to break the generational cycles of hereditary disease in black families comes to fruition through our daily food specials, our catering services, meal prep services, and educational classes we offer the community. All of our food creations are freshly made at home, with love, and only from plants.
Right now, we do everything from my home, in Harrisburg, PA, and although I love my home, the space we have is not sufficient to maintain our business long-term. In Harrisburg, the hot spot for food vendors is The Broad Street Market, and we were able to secure space in the market this month! This space, unfortunately, does not come with any kitchen equipment. We need YOUR help fundraising $15,000, which will cover all equipment costs for our new space. At the most basics, our food-service business will require a stove, an oven, sauté pans, refrigerators, coolers, prep stations, blenders, pans, a POS system, a register, and much more.
I keep saying us, we, and our, because this business is not just about me. Ward of Health only thrives when the health of our community thrives as well.
